Volunteer
At each of our events we utilize volunteers in on-court and off-court capacities. Tennis experience and knowledge is a plus but not a requirement for all activities. Your involvement and passion for helping others is far more valuable than your knowledge or skill level as a tennis player. Tennis teams, school groups, families, neighborhoods, and individuals are all encouraged to get involved.
The following are ways in which you can be involved:
- Training academies (Spring)
- Site Coordinator – manages 8-week training program for a specific site (specific training provided)
- Assist on-court as instructor, ball feeder, court control
- Assist with off-court activities – administrative support, provide snacks
- League Play (Sept/Oct)
- Unified Partner (tennis experience required)
- Umpire (tennis experience required)
- Ballperson
- Chaperones (prior involvement required)
- Special Olympics Georgia State Games (May/June)
- Unified Partner (must be certified Special Olympics Unified Partner)
